PURPOSE OF POSITION

Reviews spoiled work records and reports. Analyzes all spoiled work and/or complaints related to manufacturing, determines causes, and takes required action to control and/or eliminate substandard work.
Using TQM principles, form teams and involve people to improve productivity, decrease lead times and attain customer quality requirements.
Conducts regular production meetings; meets with Production Supervisors to maintain a high level of understanding and cooperation. Conducts quarterly evaluation sessions with subordinates.
Include safety considerations in monthly department meetings to raise awareness of people to perform their tasks in a consistently safe manner. Make sure that all safety rules are followed, accompanied by good housekeeping.
Cooperates with other department heads concerning customer relations, production planning and scheduling and shipping. Meets with General Manager on a regular basis to maintain a thorough knowledge of all jobs in progress.

Education/Experience:

Math/Physics Ability:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as integral and differential calculus, linear algebra, and statistics and probability to the solution of engineering and technical problems.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic Electrical and Mechanical CAD software; Manufacturing software; Database software; Mathematical software; General office software (word processing, internet, email).
Reasoning Ability:
